Arrival!

We made it!!  Flight went surprisingly quick – in no small measure down to the wonders of the V-port! Films and tv galore, etc.  Not so much sleep unfortunately …

First impressions of Hong Kong are good. The skyline is incredible, even through jet-lagged eyes!  Weather was pants yesterday (rain) but sun is shining today.

After a night of 4* luxury (including a free ‘deluxe’ upgrade) we have just moved into the infamous ‘Chungking Mansions.’  The name is misleading – Chunking Prisons might be more appropriate!  We happened upon it last night and vowed never to stay there, but alas things always look better in the light of day …

Currently abusing some free internet in a shop so must dash.  Better blog and photos to follow shortly.
